Well, that was an unexpected twist to this porn.

Not that unexpected. Tsubasa's behavior and memories in the first chapter made it clear that she had some issues with her family, and had been treated violently in the past. That was clearly going to come up sooner or later.

Unless you mean the out-of-the-blue question about her being a prostitute based on speculation from strangers. What kind of world do these kids live in where two high school girls and a man walking together are assumed to be part of the sex trade? I've heard that teenage prostitution is common in Japan, but don't girls have fathers and other male relatives? Being accused of prostitution by random gossip seems to be a common plot device, so maybe it's just one of those things authors throw in for the sake of drama, or maybe high school gossip really is that awful.

Rather like the font. Anyone know which one it is?

Many fonts are used here, could you tell me which page/frame/bubble?

I thought that was a little odd too, especially since they mentioned another girl. Unless it's common practice to have two prostitutes at the same time..? The first thing that came to mind was that it's probably her sister and father that they saw her with.

Well, clearly you don't know how bad gossips in asian highschool can be.
Around 3 years ago, I saw a friend of my sister who was bullied and nearly kicked out of school, all because of a single gossip. You see, she didn't really fit in, nor did she want to, but some people didn't like that, and they did the worst thing possible: tell a gossip about her being playful and would date anybody if they give her money or sth. It was small at first, only circled in a single group, without too much attention to it, but then one 'cool kid' overheard it and he/she did just the thing, posted it on Fb. The gossip quickly spread and day by day, it became worse 'till one day, it was so bad that the school had to take action. I don't really know what happened after that but in the end she was forced transfer school in order to "keep the school's image".
So you see, people sometime don't really care whether the gossip is true or false, they just want to find the fun, the thrill in gossiping, bullying or they just simply want to make others' life miserable.
And do keep in mind that my country is not Japan and that highschool in Jp is like 10 times worse than that.

Well aside from that, I do agree that random gossip is an over-used plot device; but seeing how easy it is to create drama, I don't think mangakas are gonna stop using it anytime soon.

Wow really? Your partner was hit and you better ask if she's a prostitute and not who did hurt her ....Man , morality is such a big fuss

The high school I worked for for years was too elite (and our rural location too desperate to advance) to have any time for bullying and gossip. People seriously crammed all the time like a juku. But that said, my impression of HS overall in Japan is that it's about like Kodama Naoko's Cocytus level of hateful bullying gossip on average. I think she really nailed it.

From Misaki's point of view, I can kinda see her reaction. After all, what she knows of Tsubasa is that she shows a very different face outside of school, seems street smart (compared to her) and accosted her for sex in a bathroom literally the first time they met in a casual setting. At the very least, she doesn't know much about her girlfriend, so anything's possible.

Plus, she's overly trusting.

Yeah but is probably her dad who hurt her

Misaki has no way of knowing anything about that. She doesn't have information the reader does.

Japan had a very bad problem with females joining the sex industri at some point. I dont know if it's still as bad

She thinks the injuries are product of one of her "customers", while at the same time is unsure if asking to her directly. Also, not a bad way to get around the standard "I fell down the stairs" response.
Remember we only learn of Tsubasa's rather precarious family situation through a small flashback, and Misaki does not know that yet.

I'm from Korea and I've definitely gotten a few strange stares in the past for going out to eat or going to the movie theater with my dad. Korean dads aren't the most family-oriented, so I guess people aren't used to seeing a father and daughter who are actually on good terms. I imagine Japan would be similar. Also, people do tend to assume the worst about others.

Second chapter was much better than the first. As a long-time fan of Gyuunyuu Linda's earlier works, I'm interested to see more of this serial. Thank you, ZdY.

A little overused setting but still unpredictable from the nature and atmosphere of the story?
