Clover - Chapter 2 and the follow-up Clover Extra - Happy Days fit the bill nicely.

Not too much angst/drama, but very enjoyable.

Not so much in the first one, but definitely in the second one.

Oh god, I might want to buy that. But I still have to finish Kindred Spirits.

Yeah, Though the whole series was neat. It took me a second to realize all the main girls were sisters because it showed them at different ages.

iirc, wasnt it actually showing them at the same age? As in, all sisters are at diff ages, but each of their chapters focused on a specific time in their high school years. It's pretty neat when you notice it

Yeah, that's what I meant. It just threw me off because you would see them with different hairstyles and such.

Highway Blossoms (I don't know why it's spoiler tagged but, well, I guess I'll follow suit) is, by far, the best commercial yuri VN I've ever read... and, really, the only one I've read. I'm poor, okay?? I read pretty much every free yuri VN out there, and while I love Ebi-hime's and Nomnomnami's works in particular, it's impossible to deny that this VN has muuuuch higher production values... probably cause this is a $10 VN and their stuff is $0. It really adds to the experience. Of course, just cause a VN looks pretty doesn't mean it's well-written, but... well, this is pretty and well-written. The dialogue is so witty and great and Amber and Marina's relationship is SO CUTE AND GREAT. I have to admit, the first half was kind of boring me a bit, but it was necessary to really build up their relationship and all to make the second half more impactful... Well, that's my crappy opinion anyway. I'd definitely recommend it.

I'm actually giving it a go now. Yeah, it's pretty slow right now, but it's good to know it will pick up.

It ends up so confusing since it goes in reverse chronological order, starting with the youngest sister's hgihschool experiences and ending with the oldest's.

Minutoh: I believe that the gut punch is harder , the ending more uncertain unspoiled and the happy ending more rewarding, so people uncovering it should really be sure about doing it.

Redundant maybe, but if even one goes in unspoiled, I think it's worth it.

I've of the opinion that if it's a good/happy ending, I'll enjoy the journey that much more because I have something to look forward to.

Actually, everything by Amagakure Gido would include this one shot too (she only wrote so much yuri ;___;), so give it a read as well:
http://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/im_a_fool
It might not be DRAMATIC and all, but there's generally a certain feeling to her work, the narration is a bit heavy at times, even if it's not straight up drama

Was it showing that they were traveling together at the end?

Yep. She also has a new picture taken together with senpai on the wall.

e: I always thought the other picture showed senpai too. But it looks more like a school girl.

Well it was neat. I like that she had a mole earring.

I'll make a thread later for something like that. The reason I'm interested in angst/drama with a happy endings, because it seems like alot of the time it strengthens the relationship in the end when it's happy after going through so much shit.

Maybe you might have some suggestions for this:

All of her works are pretty good. There is at least one hurdle to overcome in each of them, although it's not always really dramatic. I think you'll enjoy at least Weather Forecast and Urbane. Algae and Adrianne are favorites of mine, but feature more subtle drama and are more about growing up/adult life.

A really great 4koma style manga about a poor young saleswoman working for her eccentric, rich and openly lesbian boss. The is a good amount of drama and angst in the middle and up until the ending, but its yuri is pulling no punches. You can read the missing chapters elsewhere (there are about 75 total) and it's one of the cutest and most touching things I've read.

This one is a bit light on the drama, but the author is great and her art quite unique. I'll post two links in the other thread.

Adult life. Furutsuji Kikka's work is really solid.
