The way Maya was portrayed never made her look ambitious to the extent that it could've been the reason she was unable to answer people's feeling because she wanted to concentrate on her studies. I've never picked up that vibe from her.
Personally, what sold this to me was the mention of her studying astronomy, of all things. Astronomy nowadays is not something you study because you can earn a lot of money with it (you can't), or because it's easy (it isn't), or because everyone else does it (they don't). Which leaves just one: it's something you have a natural passion and talent for, and if you decide to study astronomy at the university level, you pretty much have to put relationships on the backburner for a year or two.
And yeah the series description on Dynasty should totally be changed, Anokiss is kinda like Kindred Spirits, it's not about the 'main characters' themselves, but legit all of these couples.
Idk, sure there are couples I find more interesting than others, but I just appreciate them all. At least they're all being developed, at their own pace lol (the main pair is probably being dragged out, I feel like the length of the series is determined by how long their own resolution is dragged on). Some ppl like the "main pair", some like the side pairs (or specific pairs out of the whole cast), but that's kinda chill no? There's often something for everyone, some couples that catches our eye/resonates with us more.
These last 3 chapters on Chiharu and Izumi were chill too. In the second volume, a good half of it was about Chiharu's relationship/heartbreak with the senpai. It's nice to see more of them. I feel like Canno finishing up the couple with that one line/phone call in the omake (when Chiharu told the senpai that they're dating now) was a little too simplistic, just telling us rather than showing it. It's nice to see how they've been doing since, how it's like when they're actually dating, and finally, the closure Chiharu needed.

Ah well, I think we'll be back to AyaYuri next chap. So far they've had no chapters in even-numbered volumes (2 and 4), but I don't see Canno introducing a new couple in the middle of this volume…
Back to the chap, I find it pretty sweet how Chiharu is actually the one who badly needs someone by her side. Or rather, it seems like she needs someone to take care of, and be the boke to her tsukkomi. In that sense, Izumi fills a similar role as Maya to her − although a bit dumber.
I think the girl who liked Izumi might get some development in the future, don't know if Canno is pairing her up with a new girl or an existing one, but i think we might see a new couple again. Don't think we will see that before any AyaYuri development though, it has been a while since we last saw them so it would be good to see something from them as well.
Back to the chap, I feel like she feels so much better when she feels needed in a way that the other person would be lost if she doesn't help them and Izumi is pretty much fucked if she didn't had Chiharu for her. Even though Maya liked her, she never needed her in that way.
Well, first, yuri-wise, there is no kiss between Finé and Izetta (unless you count this scene). Some might argue that it wasn't even needed, considering they're pretty much acknowledged as a couple, but still, it's annoying. And more generally, the ending felt rushed and pretty messy, with a certain character pulling victories out of his ass and another one being painfully underdevelopped. It should have been a 25 episode series, really. It just reeks of wasted potential after its first episode.
Oh, i see. So theres not even a chance for a season 2 to expand upon that relationship?
Anyways, i'd still watch it since it seems that it doesn't end on a really bad note.

It's a pain keeping up with all the couples and side stories.. well, I dunno if I can actually call them SIDE stories since there're so many!
It would be REALLY helpful if we tagged each chapter with the couple that the episode is focused on, because every time I fail to keep up with a couple I need to reread the whole thing trying to find the chapters were the couple is.

I haven't really checked their list myself but I figured that since someone had made one before, might as well bring it back.

Oh wow, Yurine & Ayaka have so many more chapters dedicated to them than Moe & Mizuki... & yet somehow, they still manage to be the most forgettable couple while the latter is a legend... What a shame :(

And they're the most established couple so far with years of experience.

Well, Chiharu did act a bit like Maya's mom (from Maya's own words), and we see in chap 7 that her slightly incompetent side triggered Chiharu's love, sort of. I guess she's that instinct of guidance and protection or something. But when it became clear that Maya didn't need her anymore and was too far away for that, Izumi came in to fill that gap.
Well, if you think going to school in a bike could get you in trouble, wait 'till they find you making out with another girl in public!
I'm pretty sure dating at least one girl during your stay is mandatory in Seiran, so I wouldn't worry about that.
PS: The series' summary was changed by the way. Probably a bit more fitting.

I know i shouldn't have skipped all those french classes in high school.
I might be the only one who thinks this, but i'm kinda glad to see a love triangle in this series. I need my share of drama in every series i read.

Tbh I feel like the cat girl is Nina. Like I felt like it could have been Asakura, but she doesn't seem like she knew of her/"acted" well when Hiruma told her about it, so I think it could be Nina, because Shin'ya grew silent on both instances of Hiruma mentioning her situation with Nina/Amane. She could also be an entirely new 4th character but I feel like it's unlikely tbh

I don't absolutely want drama, but I don't mind a bit of it every now and then. It's admittedly more fun when there are a few bumps on the road. :þ What's interesting here is that I'm not sure what road this arc is gonna take…

To compare the love for the parents to the love of the lovers, she really doesn't get it!
There aren't actually that many characters, but I'm having trouble keeping track of them.
Uwaahh, even though they're all cute in their own ways.
She wasn't saying they were the same thing, just drawing the comparison to help connect the dots on the idea of loving multiple people.
I'm curious whether the author will stick to a pretty good presentation of a poly character, or have the narrative prove them 'wrong' and end up with them in a monogamous setup?
